Peninsula Transport

“Our vision is to reshape transport across the peninsula—driving a thriving society and economy while protecting and enhancing our unique natural environment.”

Peninsula Transport is a collaborative transport partnership, uniting the five lead authorities of Cornwall, Devon, Plymouth, Somerset, and Torbay to unlock the region’s full economic potential.

Working alongside co-opted members and key partners from both the public and private sectors, we set the strategic transport priorities that will shape the peninsula’s future.

The South West peninsula is a fantastic place to live and work, and great transport is at the heart of what makes it thrive. Our vision is to create a smarter, cleaner, and more resilient transport network—one that strengthens connections, supports growth, and enhances quality of life across the region.

Peninsula Transport Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) and Transport Strategy: guiding future regional transport investment

We are delighted to present the first Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP). A vast amount of progress has been made since the Sub-national Transport Body’s (STB) inception in 2018. This SIP represents the delivery plan for our Transport Strategy which was published in early 2024.
